Bed Bug Certified (Penetration-Escape Tested)(click for more info)
Mattress Safe^® products have been tested by board certified entomologists. The fabric “feed through” method was used to evaluate if bed bugs (Cimex lectularius) could penetrate and feed through the fabric when a human host was present. The results prove that no bed bugs fed through the laminated fabric, the zipper enclosure, or the zipper seams during the evaluation. The zipper closure also prevented bed bugs from escaping during the study and prevented debris from passing through the zipper.

The laminated material was tested to “CFR Title 16 Part 1632 (FF4-72) Standard for the Flammability of Mattress and Mattress Pads - Ticking Substitution Procedure Part 1632.6” and received in conclusion a “B” Classification and tested to meet the American Standard ULV-O Burn Test requirements.

Installation should be done with a partner - Installing alone can stress the zipper end stops on each side. Apply the protector on the mattress with the soft side to the outside and the laminated side to the inside.

Starting at the head of the bed, unzip the encasement and gather the fabric to locate the bottom two end corners. Together with a partner, lift each side of the end of the mattress and rest it on the knee. Align and apply the end corners first to the end of the mattress on each side. Carefully slide the encasement, inch by inch, down the length of the mattress, avoiding stress on the zipper end stop. Align the corners of the cover with the corners of the mattress. Zip the cover all around the mattress and secure the encasement by using the patented “Zipper with the Hook”^®.

Wash and dry in moderate temperature. No bleach. Do not iron.

Protector is warranted against defects in workmanship and material. This warranty will apply only if protector is received in good condition. Structural damage caused by abuse, misuse, improper installation or not properly following the care instructions will void the warranty.
